About Basil Behrman
With a rich background as a formally trained architect and CA State Licensed B-1 General Building Contractor, my career has revolved around these disciplines. In 1985, I also began to offer expert witnessing services, transitioning to an Owner's Representative role in 2012 after closing my design/building construction company. Currently, I consult for larger projects while aiding new clients with smaller endeavors.
My focus lies in guiding clients through crucial construction phases often overlooked, such as architect and consultant selection, Pre Construction Planning, the Bidding Process, Contract review, Award of Contracts, Site Administration Record Keeping, Quality Control, Payment Process after review, and Close Out. These phases, irrespective of project scale, are pivotal in avoiding disputes and ensuring cohesive project execution.
As an Owner's Representative, my role involves preventing issues, facilitating transparent communication among stakeholders, and enabling effective decision-making for a streamlined project flow akin to well-managed business operations.
